Weather Conditions

I’ve mentioned the different weather conditions before so I thought I’d define them here since I’ll probably mention them a million more times.

Condition 3 – Is weather as good as it gets around here. There is unrestricted travel and unrestricted recreation.

Condition 2 – Occurs when the wind chill is between -75 and -100 degrees, OR wind speeds are sustained for a minute or longer at between 48 – 55 knots(55-63MPH), OR visibility drops to 1/4 mile or less.  Restricted pedestrian traffic only between buildings is allowed. Vehicular travel is only allowed in radio equipped, enclosed vehicles, and check out with the Firehouse is required.

Condition 1 – Occurs when the wind chill is greater than -100 degrees, OR wind speeds are sustained for a minute over 55knots, OR visibility drops too 100 feet or less.  All outdoor travel is restricted and you must remain in the building you are in.  If you must leave a building(like you’re stuck at work at the end of the day and need to go eat) then you have to call the firehouse and they’ll send the search-and-rescue team to escort you.

Condition 0 – Occurs when monsters attack, or you have to take a dump really bad but can’t make it to the toilet on time. No one ever wants to see a Con 0.
